please dont laugh at me for asking this, but what does it mean to chase the dragon? does that mean to smoke something?

It's like a way you smoke opium (or whatever else)... you burn it in foil or something, and then suck up the smoke with a straw.

the smoke is the dragon, and you chase the smoke from the foil with your straw or rolled up note (sucki`n it up), therfore chasing it.

i always thought chasing the dragon is with opium, but apparently it's used for more than one drug.
