Im thinking about beginning myself but

well, im not realy a gardener at all, i know shit about any plants ... only their names ever so once in a while

ive read some internet growing guides, but goddamn they use all these techy cool important sounding words that just make the whole more complicated

so, could anyone that has had a good experience growing plants (preferably in doors, i live in belgium ... the weather isnt good enough to go for outdoors i think) send me a bit of a reply in which he explains (in normal, clear sentences) how i could grow some bud myself... Im talking like 1/2 plants, not a while farm

Hi mate. Heres a basic setup for you...

Lights... 250, 400, 600 Watt High Pressure Sodium (HPS) lights. The higher the wattage the more heat they put out so youll have to consider more appropriate ventilation above 250W.

Soil... I used to use John Innes Potting Soil. Its a good soil. You want to mix it with Perlite and Vermiculite to assist water drainage. Not too sure of the ratios anymore as its been a while in soil.

Pots... start off in small 3-4 inch diameter pots with the john innes and water when you think the soil is too dry. Dont water in the first 2 weeks, just make sure the soil is moist, use your brain a little here, we've all had to experiment. They dont need nutes at that time. Not until they have a set of true leaves. Then move them to larger 5 gallon pots when they are established in the smaller pots. (A basic rule of thumb is you need 1 gallon of soil per foot of plant height)

Nutes... I used Canna Terra Vega and Flores. Instructions are on the bottle. Use at 1/4 strength for the second 2 weeks and play it by ear from there on in. Your plants will 'tell' you what they need and dont need. ( A rule of thuimb here is always under feed rather than over feed ((delayed feedings, drier soil, encourage root growth))

oh... and keep your room clean. Go to the garden center and get some of those sticky yellow white-fly sheets. Youll soon see if you have a problem with pests.

uhm how much do those lights cost?? they sound kinda expensive to me

and what about those pests??? how can i tell if plants have pests by using white fly catching things?? (im a total noob @ this)

Not too sure hgow much those lights will cost you in Belgium... youll have to check that yourself... over here they are anyehere from £125 to £250.

The flies are drawn to the yellow... they love it... especially white fly... Youll soon see if you have them in there..
