early harvesting

hey i was wondering waht exactly are the negative points of early harvesting. i want to try to grow some MJ this summer but i would have to harvest when the plants are only about 2.5 feet tall. thanks

what do you mean wtf all i want to know is if it is possible to do this and still have a decent harvest im pretty new in the growing area

Don't waste your time! You need buds to smoke. Buds only start growing when the days get shorter, and then take time to mature (30 - 60 days?). From what little you have said, I assume you plan to grow outside until the plants are 2.5' and then harvest, which will give you pleanty of leaves and no bud. If you have to harvest early, then you must somehow trick the plant into thinking it is Autumn, such as bringing the plant into a dark room after 12 hours or shading it completely somehow where it grows in the ground. If instead of "early," you mean that you cannot grow bigger plants (for security reasons, for instance) then I suggest planting late and/or pruning the plants so that they are only 2' tall when they go to bud.
