has anybody seen this film? its supposed to be hella controversial...and really bloody.

It's only controversial because people are too worried that audiences will be influenced to anti-semitic viewpoints from this movie. Yeah, fucking, right. Like everyone in the world is a bunch of drones who go to the movies only to do exactly what we see in them. We'd have a bunch of people running around trying to be god, and getting joined at the hip, and fucking people we don't know. (Bruce Almighty, Stuck on You, and porn, respectively.) If people hate jews after watching this movie, chances are they hated jews before and during as well. Sure, they deserve to go die in a corner, but it's not the fault of a movie. Aside from all that ranting, it looks really good and I want to see it.

It's only considered SO violent because that's Jesus, a real person who went through all that torture for us, you feel a sense of guilt you know, too many people complain on how violent it is when really it is the way it happened. PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH. How would a Jew feel if in the future their was a film on Nazi's and the Nazi's treat the jews with tender loving care? Serving them breakfast and taking them out for walks in the park? I'll tell you right now that Jews would be pissed off, they'd want everyone know the torture they did not deserve to go through. Kinda the same with believers of Christianity and Jesus. I saw it and it really gives me a whole new respect for Christianity. And I give respect to believers back then around Jesus' time, they needed to have big fuckin balls to be a Christian. Risking their lives for believing in it.
