for the best bong in terms of durability, you must build your bong with these specifications:

Nalgene bottle
Papermate soft-grip pen tube and the metal cone on the end
electrical tape
drill

buy your Nalgene bottle from most outdoor sporting goods store(i bought mine from Eastern Mountain Sports) and drill a hole in the side between the 6 and 8 oz. lines. This allows for the pen tube to go in all the way to the other side. take your pen tube and insert the metal cone into the tube thin end first, and use electrical tape around the edge to hold in the cone. insert into hole, and also tape around shaft onto the bottle. unscrew the cap. this is your mouthpice. drill another hole on the top edge. This hole is your shotgun...it is convieniently near your thumb when toking. load herb in cone. HAPPY SMOKING!
I chose these bottles because they are hard plastic and will not collaps or melt. you can also paste stickers on the side of the bottle to personalize your new bong!

get a big water jug and fill the bath tub up with water. cut out the bottom of the water jug (from the fountain things) and put it in the bathtub 1/2 way and then put 4 tubes out of the water jug and hit those, tubes coming out of the water jug.

good idea with the nalgene bong ... i did something similar after i read your post, cause i have like 4 of those bottles lyin around... anyways it works, i just hit it ... thanks
