First death by dope

A MAN aged 36 is thought to have become the first in Britain to die directly from cannabis poisoning.
Lee Maisey smoked 25,000 joints during his 11-year addiction to the drug — due to be decriminalised later this month.

He said he had a headache before collapsing.

Yesterday a coroner recorded that single Mr Maisey, of Summerhill, Pembrokeshire, died from cannabis toxicity.

Afterwards experts warned cannabis was getting stronger — and risks were even higher if it is eaten rather than smoked.

Yeah, well you can die of lung cancer, but that's about the worst thing weed is doing... Except it leads to depression, but that doesn't kill you unless you are suicidal.

Bullshit. If you become depressed because of weed that means you have a severe disposition to depression before hand. Only depressents can lead you to unnatural depression.

nono, i was correcting chicka who said weed leads to depression, full stop. But technically weed has been medically called a depressant, so if you are depressed beforehand or from something during your high times then it -can- (meaning possibly but not necessarily) lead to depression.

Marijuana is a stimulant, in no way a depressent. Actually the DEA changed marijuana from stimulant to hallucinogen last year, offically.
