hi, im new
does anybody find this to be a bit strange?
my favourite kind of tunes to listen to when im high are...
some fast heavy punk (i.e sick of it all)
some mellow punk (i.e rancid)
thrash/heavy metal (pantera,metalica)
and some proper happy hardcore!

a lot of my freinds think its weird, i dont because im a huge music fan
i listen to lots more music but i prefer that when im stoned

my friends love happy hardcore. but i love punk and ska and a bit hip-hop. rancid are sweet soia are good too. its all good

Yeah I saw Rancid a while ago, well good. Proper energetic performers.

yeah i know
i like the way they can make a set list minutes before a gig
and the way they change how they play certain songs to keep with the "theme" of a gig, ya know what i mean? like when i saw them they played time bomb but with more powerchords than ska sounding chords to keep with a faster slightly heavy gig
i saw them on an interveiw and they said they can stand there on stage and ask the audience for a request and they can do any request (rancid songs) without thinking or fucking it up. personly i think that is amazing

but more importantly i'm seeing the alkaline trio on nov 23rd. it should be good.

When I'm stoned, I more less listen to alternative, metal, and punk, cuz to me thats mostly sittin down n chillin stuff. When I'm not stoned, and I wanna do something that will get me all pumped, I'll throw on metal w/ a good fast beat or rap w/ a good fast beat

i wish rancid came to newcastle. i just saw lagwagom on thursday there very good. and going to see farse and mustard plug soon.

you want to try and check out a local band called fasle idol
great punk band. like old punk, with a hint of goth - really good, one of my favourite bands seriously
heres a review from their last gig, supporting violent delight in a town 8 miles away from where false idol are bases

When even Rancid bring out an album as mediocre as the recent ‘Indestructible’, who can we rely on for some real punk rock? False Idol, that’s who.

‘Punk’ is a term that is overused nowadays. Good Charlotte, for instance, are not ‘punk’. Whinging about girls is not ‘punk’. False Idol, with their socially aware, politically-based lyrical content may well be one of the only true remaining punk bands in Britain. And by God, they’re good at it.

The auditorium is positively full to the brim of eager followers of the Stafford quintet, all of whom thrash about enthusiastically to each and every brash, raw song that bursts out of the amplifiers. Ad is a good frontman - encouraging crowd participation at every opportunity and possessing an admirable stage presence as he stalks from left to right, gurning and jumping like his life depends on it. In all honesty, his vocals could do with a little work on occasions - but that really is just nit-picking on my behalf.

The rest of the band are also musicians of the highest calibre - Greg is a positively spectacular drummer, accomplishing no less than three lightning fast drum solos; Jay manages to bring something more than the usual ‘three chords and the truth’ to a punk band... need I go on? After such a great set, including two brand new songs, I don’t think anyone could complain. Finishing with the rousing sing-along of ‘False Idol Rewriting The Bible’, False Idol exit stage left with an influx of new fans.
