Gram to fraction conversions?

Like, how many grams are in a dime or an 8th or a quarter? I don't understand.

There are 28 grams in an ounce.
There are 7 grams in a quarter of an ounce.
There are 3.5 grams in an eighth....and so forth.
There are a variable amount of grams in a dime - usually around .5 of a gram.
