I'm not going to stop using Kazaa coz I've only got like 150 songs and a couple *videos* so they'll probably go after that kid who's got 10,000 songs and a full-blown porn library b4 me....and by then I'll be in Law school so go ahead! Sue me! I'll be on the other side of the societal wall! mwuhahaha!

Anyways KaZaA lite is kool no spyware and music is still good btw I use WinMX also Lite has become a force of habit tho!

i also use kazaa lite.. but its not spyware that they get u with.. caro is right they go after people who have 1000's of songs.. i have like 700 i need to delete some. I also have movies that are still in theatres and on dvd so i have to delete those! or they will definatly go after me! But i think kazaa lite blocks ur IP so the RIAA cant get to ur computer and find out where u live and wat not :-/

I used winmx wayy before i did kazaa, and i like kazaa better, it just seems more neater to me. I only have 118 songs and theyre Punk Rock.When i download songs i put them on cd's and then delete them.

yeah, well if any of you use WinXP, i suggest you read the licence agreement again.. you actually give them full permission to look onto your computer at any time for any reason.

It's true...my bf's mother is a Microsoft executive and she straight up told us that windows XP and all the upgrades after it are all spyware or some shit like that.

the licence agreement for most ISP's (if includes any microsoft software) also includes a clause similar to the one already mentioned granting access to ur computer.

I don't give a shit though I download so much music got thousands of songs don't use kazaa or winmx think they're both shit just don't have enough variety and also songs are generally in 128 instead of better quality 192 so I generally use soulseek, great programme so many more rare traxs and less commercial shit.

The RIAA is going after the ppl who use kazaa etc and have there big selling commercial artists like eminem, aggy, britney etc

what is the most out of order though is that the RIAA do not have any rights to these songs, they are just the company there to protect the big five and they(RIAA) are getting pissed off because their share of the big fives profits is in decline.

Also read some statistics recently that suggested that if everyone who was dlding music had stopped buying cd's then cd sales would have fallen by between 25-30% but the figures only suggest a fall of 10%. So ppl are still buying cds

The RIAA need to wise up and change the pricing policies of the big five and also consider altenative distribution if Apple can make it work surely sony etc can too.
