Hey, does anybody know what the approximate normal temperature of a PC is ?? Mine is 122 degress!! Christ, isn't that too hot?

PC = Personal Computer. I dunno my pc aint got a temp thang on it it sounds way too hot that is your fan up to scratch?

Mines running at 118 at the moment, it all depends what type of processor you have, and how hot it gets

I suggest not letting it go past 60 degree's celsius

It took me to diagnose the problem....it was a broken CPU fan

lol. that used to happen to my comp all the time too. it would say that the temp was insanely hot, but it never was. it was just a shitty program thingy that told me the temp. it always gave warnings every single time i even turned on the computer. then i ended up just disabling it.

If you are using a weak program to tell u the heat of your computer, u should check you Bios. That will tell you exactly the temp of your comp

Yeah Higher/Higher's Girl: If you go into the bios (the stuff that comes up when turn on the computer and it checks RAM, Hard disks etc. and says something like 'press delete to enter bios' or sometimes F1 etc.) and have a look around, there should be an option to give you a 'warning on fan failure' or something like that. You should turn it on, some CPU's will toast themselves in next to no time without the fan running. Its very bad. You should both be ashamed of yourselves.

Yeah, she did discover it in BIOS....didn't say the fan was failing but it did state the temperature. She opened up the puter and the CPU fan was burning to the touch and hardly turning.

What part of the computer is that hot? What part of the computer to you have the digital thermometer reading?

Well as long as you turned on the warning it should be ok next time, it will start beeping at you when it fails so you know to turn it off and buy a new one.

mine runs at 42 - 45 if ya get to 60c ya shuld get worried cuz that will start scrotchin ya boards ;/ specially if its a athlon chip
