Someone put up a Dealing Manual

Ive been smokin for about 5 years now, and our main dealer is goin to some mountain school shit for the whole year, and we got no one to buy from. I just made a real nice contact in downtown Baltimore where I can make about an 80% profit to the gram if I start sellin. I was talkin with a few of my closest people last night, and today i got four people callin me askin to buy, seems hard to say no to the idea. I know a considerable amount about everything , but Ive been looking around for a decent guide to selling. I know theres a lot to tell, but If any of the biggies around here want to put up something at all comprehensive I know there will be alot of people that would appriciate it.

I've been dealing for a couple months now, some things I learned.

You won't make much profit off a $50 bag. Buy AT LEAST $150, and get it from a big dealer so he gives you more grams for your bucks. My supplier charges me $3-$6 per gram depending on quality and quantity of the order. 50 grams costs me $170, and I sell it for $250.

Divide your profits, don't keep all the money you make for yourself, but invest a portion of it it in more weed, so you can make more profit, and so on. If my profit is, say, $50, I re-invest $30, and keep $20 to myself.

Stay low-profile. Don't spend your profit on fancy clothes and jewellery, the cops will pick you right out. But if you dress casual and normal, the risk of getting stopped is much smaller. A friend of mine who's a dealer too wears expensive shoes, jackets and a silver Breitlinger watch. He got busted. I wear a Carhartt jacket and Converses, and I never get stopped.

Don't go around telling your name to everyone, sell only to people you know and trust. Use a fake name if you need to.

If you deal small quantities, carry some change money in your pockets. If someone wants to buy $15 worth of weed and pays with a $20 bill, and you can't give him $5 back, he's not buying, meaning no profit.

Don't wear backpacks stuffed with weed when no one else is wearing a backpack. It'll look dodgy. I had to run once because I wore a backpack in the evening.

i don't deal, but im close friends with a couple of dealers. also, a manual wouldn't be a good idea because every place does it diffrently. where i live, green bay, wisconsin... cops are dicks. you get caught with a pipe and it smells like weed, your going to jail. but from what i hear in ny, you get caught with an 1/8th, they don't really care. they take it and let you go. its all about experience... you just have to start somewhere and learn your own tactics. i guess these posts will just be pointers, not really a manual. so here goes:

if people call you and say they'll come over to buy... be careful about how you exchange the stuff. one of my friends lives in a neighborhood were a cop lives down the block and old people sit on there pourches watching us. so don't be handing weed out in the open. drop it or something so they can pick it up. for instance, when i go buy from a guy i know, i'll open the car door and he'll come up next to it and bend down. and we'll talk for awhile and he'll drop a sack in the door and the $20 will be in there waiting for him. its kind of lame, but its better then having someone snitch. an easier way is just get in the car and take off, and just do the deal in the car. this also gives you the chance to maybe have the buyer smoke you up.

i agree, don't smoke your own weed. u want to make a profit from it.
sell it as fast as you can. this will help stop that urge to smoke it. if anything, sell someone a dube sack for $15 and tell them for it they need to smoke you up. i've done this a couple of times. the other guy is usually pretty happy with this because you hooked him up fat for cheap.

agreeed. backpacks are nice, but they attract to much attention. carry a couple of 20 sacks in ur pocket. if someone wants more, bring them back home and sell it there.

a finger scale is also nice to have. you can find those online for $4 most of the time. other wise most headshops will have em.

i know one kid who rolls up about 15 joints and sells them at school for $5 each. thats a good way of doing it to.

Aight, thanks alot, fucking sitting at a hukah bar tonight, a friend of mine came by to pick some stuff up I was supposed to drop off, I gave it to him on the house, but his four friends bought 20 a gram each. I guess i shouldnt be sellin to kids i dont know, but theyre all preppy shits who dont know what theyre talking about. The whole on the house thing has already sent a bunch of contact my way. But thanks for the tips, nething else ne one wants to add would be well appriciated.

Cell phone: if you can, buy a cheap second cell phone (nokia 3210 or 3310 are reliable, and they cost under $90 now, at least over here), so you can have a personal phone, for friends, parents etc., generally people that don't need to know you're a dealer, and the second one is your dealerphone, for calling your buyers and suppliers.

Backpacks: 100% correct, my friend.

Scale: again, the complete truth. Make sure it's accurate up to 0.1 grams.

Selling joints: good idea, IF you can be sure you won't smoke them yourself, and IF you're still a small-time dealer. If you deal like me, it's a waste of time.
