The worlds end

I was looking forward to this one, after enjoying Pegg and his crowd in many of their previous outings. Many of his regular actor buddies were involved, yet from the start to the end, the film lacked consistent punch in the comedy measures. It seemed more a lame attempt to re-run a mixture of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, both of which are wicked efforts and well worth seeking out.

World's end, however, pales in comparison. It seems as tired and dry as the main characters, with the mere presence of quality comedians not enough to propel the script beyond wretched.

I found myself smoking more in a desperate attempt to become so stoned that I could wring some laughs from the slightly damp towel. To no avail...
