It has come to my attention, that the site could do with a tweak here or there, perhaps even what some call a renovation of sorts. whispers have become roars, and I am forced now, to at least make note publicly of my intention to Act...to bring the community a front end to be proud of, not appalled by...to perform a Rolf Harris special on the look of even the forums! Picture Freddy Kruger mixed with Da Vinci. That's where we are heading!...but have no fear! for before any steps are made to change even an emoticon, I implore you all, to offer your comments, for good and ill. Now and then I DO remember that Weedguru is not purely a toy for me to mangle at will, but a community Hub, and its the community which should and will drive its development...so do yourselves and each other a favour, and answer the following questions-

What do you like about the site??
What can we do better??
What do you despise???

Not sure what to say my friend. Too much inactivity and too many irrelevant posts to threads. I really used to enjoy the conversation debates and members personal writings in the literal lines section and I don't see why all contribution has stopped. The world is ever changing so surely there must be new things to debate converse and write about. If you need help moving forward you know where to find me.

Forum code, cleaned, cleansed...will push the MODS back in over the coming days. Also started work on a new, far less straight edged front end...and more going on behind the scenes. Yes, Chris...your help would be welcome in any guise.

I would almost dare propose we simply whipe the slate and start clean.

By that I mean getting rid of unvisited nooks & crannies, culling the number of subforums so it's easier to see the forest through the trees.

The banner is nice, but I would shrink it's size, right now it's just too big, I like it though.

there is to little spread over to much, we need to reduce the size of the forums and condence it, looks more active that way. if you need a new wensite/front page making let me know and i will whip somthing up Dan.

Wicked to hear from you, Tom...I thought you may well had been lost in a foreign country, far away from the green on the screen. Well its presently blue, but I will change that shortly...Added in a facebook/social media share and like option for the first post in every thread. Will get working on more over the coming days. Condensing the forums is definitely on the agenda...

For a start, CTCF, of great value would be for you to make a handful of posts daily...a habit I am trying to adopt. I was peeking at the old gonzo forums a few days back, enjoying snippets of your journal of sorts. I will resurrect in some form and send to you. Also, what are you ideas for the forums, as in titles and sections? too many? could be condensed? better to focus marijuana orientated forums near the top so visitors see them upon first visit? better linking to forum from front end?

I have no problem posting, but I should probably invest in a cpu so I don't have to use this smart phone. Well I don't mind all the sections, maybe you could have them collapsed under main sections. For example, introduction to smoking weed, then people could click on a little plus icon or something and then other sections would show up such as virgin lungs, tools of the trade, etc. Same could go for growing, and less weed oriented sections such as generally chilling mass debate news and so on. Kind of like folders inside of folders. This way the main page could be condensed into 4 or 5 key sections, but those sections would all have their own subsections.

Also, I haven't been to the actual main page of this place in years, but if it's the same as before it could use an overhaul. I mean the main place is the forums, make them accessible to get to. I guess weed and growing should be top priority, I take for granted that I already know about this stuff, but when I was sixteen and found this place I think it was because I searched Google for information on weed and how to make a pipe, but if the forums were collapsed I think navigation would be a lot easier. I only come here anymore to see what's going on in other people's corner of the world, but many people everyday are looking for general weed information .

I almost forgot about the journal, it was fun to do at times and I'm sure my progression of thought would be fun to look back on. Please send them when you have Time. I'm sure I was a naive inconsiderate asshole at times, but we all are at times.

Oh, and some sections could probably just go away (e.g. top ten caners)

Many thanks for the suggestions, CTCF. Some of which I already plan on implementing. I am far from the best at organizing my energies...suffering as always from a tendency to aim myself in whatever direction seems the most fun and potentially satisfying. I will prioritize the forum re-arrangement this week. Also hope to get some input from others...Higher for example, and anyone else whose generous enough to offer an opinion on how to make the forum, and site as a whole more user friendly and flowing.

Pretty sure this is how i found this place too, only, "How to make a bong". Not too sure as to why I've stayed... Though I've taken long periods off as well... This is probably not that helpful thinking about it..... I'll try and add to it later... Mind's a little fuzzy right now.

I'll just finish up my birthday celebratory 4 day weekend and get onto the job of condensing the forums down to a more attractive shape and size. How about the idea of sub forums???? Which forums ahsould be the first a user comes across when accessing the forums???ALL of stoners lobby and GROWING?? or just the titles, which lead to the sub forums???

Ill get back to you in more detail about your post, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend getting rid of a ton of subsections a lot of these may not generate new ideas, but they do have a lot of resourceful material.
