Members of Italy's National Committee for Cultural Heritage say the letters and numbers can be seen when magnifying high resolution images of the Mona Lisa'a eyes, the Daily Mail reports.
"To the naked eye the symbols are not visible but with a magnifying glass they can clearly be seen," Silvano Vinceti, president of the Committee, was quoted as saying.

IDK if it's true or not, but I remember seeing some TV show saying how the mona lisa that we view today is actually a faked version of the real one..
Here's a serious question though... What makes the mona lisa such a GREAT painting in the first place? It's a good painting and all, but it's not THAT great. I've seen thousands of other artworks done that are much better than this..
