Clerk finds marijuana in store's candy aisle

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Tennessee store clerk found about two grams of marijuana tucked among the sticky sweets and gum in his store's candy aisle.

Cookeville Police officer Craig Taylor went to the Pilot truck stop in Cookeville just before 4 a.m. Thursday after the clerk called about the cannabis.

Taylor's report says the clerk did not know how long the bag of pot had been there or who left it there.

Taylor took the bag of marijuana to the police station and placed it into the evidence vault.

probably some yougn kid selling 2 grams to his friend or something but they couldnt meet so being young and inexperienced they tried this, that or it was sort of a last minute ditching.

or some kid had the munchies, sat his weed down for some reason on the aisle to pick up some candy and was so amazed by the sparkling sugar on top he forgot about the bag of weed.. rendering him weedless, but not munchieless
