New Fake “Marijuana”

As I have predicted, the rush of states to place bans on K2 or Spice, the so-called fake “marijuana” has had no effect whatsoever. Prohibition fails every time it is tried.

It seems stores in Mississippi are selling “potpourri,” which has the same effect of Spice but is made of different chemicals so that it eludes state bans.

“We’re the first ones in town to carry it,” the clerk said. “You roll it up and smoke it like you would your spice. It has the same effect, but it has a different chemical in it so it’s legal. It’s the new spice. Tell your friends.”

So are states now going to ban this “potpourri?” To what effect? I’m not a fan of synthetic “marijuana,” or the fact that it’s even associated with cannabis, but banning things is stupid and futile. People are going to do things that may be bad for them, they always have. Education is the key. If your state has banned K2, what have they done as far as educating the public on its effects?

In the end, if someone wants to consume something, they will. No laws will stop that. It’s all just useless posturing, which is what politicians are best at.
