School to toughen up 'sissy' boys

A Chinese elementary school is teaching its boys to be more masculine as it's worried they are turning into sissies.

Qinlinglu Elementary School in Zhengzhou, Henan province, has launched an initiative called 'Looking for a Real Man' to encourage boys to act more like boys.

As part of this the youngsters are taught how to act more masculine and must take an oath swearing to act like 'real men', reports the Dahe Daily.

Wang Jianhua, who has been teaching at the school for 14 years, says he has noticed that boys have become "more and more girly".

What can I say...with metro-sexuals and guys wearing skinny jeans, its like society is slowly castrating guys. These guys might be going a little far with it, I say just enroll them in hockey or something

^really? I don't see it...they should let the kids act the way they want to act. Girly or not, it's not the schools responsibility to make the children into "men".
it's the parents job to instill these "values" and societys.

I agree that its more the parents responsibility to instill these values, but if your going to rely on society as well....your shit out of luck. Because as I see it, its society that is telling these guys to crush their junk into these skinny jeans, and that they have to look pretty and use make up to seem attractive to girls.
