How to build a PC Grow Box (Pics Included)

First thing is first you need to get a empty PC to grow in. This one I got is 20" tall 9" wide and 20" depth. Then if you dont want to go out and buy Mylar and all that you can used a car windshield reflector , very cheap at walmart and can easily be cut up. As for lights I glued a power strip on the top of the case and plugged the 4 CFL lights into it. Now you're done!

This is all the equipment I used with prices.

PC Case - $43
Hot Glue Gun (Walmart) - $8
Glue Sticks (Walmart) - $3
Car Windshield Reflector (Walmart) - $10
PC Fan's - $15
4 CFL Lights (Walmart) - $20
Power Strip (Walmart) - $5
Remote Control Socket - 15.99



Once you strip it down to nothing it should look like this.



Now its time to start putting reflective material inside. These are the tools I used. (glue gun, car reflect, glue sticks)



After you cut the car reflect up and glue it onto all sides of the case you need to mount the lights. Here 2 pictures showing you where you should put them.





Once you have the lights up you need to get those fans on there. I had to get some metal cutters to make space for mine to fit, but here is where I placed mine.

How many feasible plants could a person get out of this Higher? I have some seeds I won off of here from Amsterdam and I don't have a lot of space or an overextensive knowledge of growing. It would be much easier if I could find someone to do it for me, then I just take like a 1/4 of the bud grown or something.

Personally, I've never done such a tiny grow....

It's small man, real small.

You're talking a harvest in grams, not ounces imho

If I was growing I would be paranoid that the police would be watching to see who has certain lights on at a cycle. So like if they see someone has lights on every day for 18 hours a day, then they know that person is growing cannabis etc.

People block out their windows or do grows in rooms with no windows usually

Couldn't they setup some kind of system on the database of computers or something so that when someone has had lights on for a certain period of time that resembles a grow going on then like a light or some kind of thing would go off letting the police know someone is using a cycle of lights for something, then they could investigate a little further, no? If that made any sense...

haha yeah, the coppers are primarily just looking for the bigger grow ops. You can't get a warrant just because someone has a light timer going on. It's a waste of money to search that in depth, and will never hold up to the court that just because a light is going on at certain times means that it's a grow house. They need fairly good evidence to get a warrant or even have suspicion about something illegal going on to do anything. They would be busting in to every other house looking like complete fools to everyone (and getting in trouble for it too for wasting tax money on outrageous procedures) It's conceivable, but not probable.

I have to agree though that if you are going to be growing, then it is nearly a waste of energy to grow it in a PC case... UNLESS you are growing autoflowering strains as it is not nearly as much of a hassle on the whole height factor.

actually seedlings and clones might work pretty decently in there if space is a factor.

Never done this myself, but I know lots of people have had fun with it. The smallscaleness (is that a word?) of it makes it ideal for a first timer grower with size restrictions, and stealth issues. Growing weed, isn't always just about and quality . It's also about hobby and passion.

That is very true though, just learning small things from experience before you actually set yourself up for a legit grow is a great way to get ahead and understand the basics. Plus growing in general is incredible just knowing that you created that yourself almost like an art.

How are your fans connected to a power source and what kind of assorted allow you to plug in the cfl bulbs I can only find adapters that allow the bulbs to connect to a different kind of bulb socket
