just to make online purchases easier. does anybody have any suggestions (i.e. cards with low rates, nice benefits, etc)

get a student credit card, they have low balances (about $500 ) and interest is usually not that bad. I have student vista card and there really handy

I would recommend Paypal and a paypal debit card not a credit card.

Fuck up your credit now in college, and your fucked for life. If anything, get a credit card, but dont spend anything; just build up your credit.

i got one... just good to buy things over the internet with...
but there are tonnes of options.. depends how much u going to use it
get one with no annual fee or low annual fee... interest rates mean nothing
as long as you pay it off in time....
i always pay mine off straight away or the next week... never get in trouble
with it that way

well you just got to pay it off within a month, think of a credit card as a free load for a month and if you get one with a $500 spending limit its hard to get in trouble with them. Even if you do max it out, loose your job etc its not that bad (500 bucks inst that much) to repay it.

Student credit card is perfect I got mine over a year ago and they uped the limit to $600.

I'm getting a Visa Debit card soon, it's just easier so you don't go over your limit.

Yeah I'm definitely gonna get one soon, and only (well, try to) use it for stuff I have the cash on hand for so I can pay it back as soon as I get the bill. Would be kickass to get some nice pieces from the US as it's quite hard to find some of the really nice pieces over here without them being marked up by like 50%.

As for credit cards: I know myself, I'm an excellent money spender and i'm one impulsive son of a bitch lol :p sometimes I walk into a random store and when I come out I bought stuff I didn't really need =D

First i'll get me a job and a nice cashflow and then I'll have a creditcard, one that can't go below zero :p
