Pot Eating Michigan Cop Won't Be Prosecuted
May 10, 2007

A pot eating police officer who stole marijuana from criminal suspects, then had his wife bake it into brownies, was allowed to resign from his job instead of facing criminal charges. Catching the officer from the Dearborn, Michigan suburban area near Detroit was a fluke.

The officer actually called 911 to summon help after he and his wife ate some of the marijuana-laced brownies and panicked, fearing that were dying from an overdose.

Former Cpl. Edward Sanchez resigned after the incident last year and the department made the decision on Wednesday not to prosecute him. But some city council members aren't happy.

One council member likened it to catching a bank robber and letting him go with some of the money. The council member said that because the officer had been stealing marijuana from drug suspects that he had arrested, he should face should be prosecuted.

After the 911 call, Sanchez at first tried to blame his wife. He said she had gotten the marijuana out of his car and baked the brownies, and then he admitted he had done it himself.

holy fuck, i don't even know where to comment; then again i am a little bit drunk.

all i can say, is that the entie situation is fucked. pot should be legalized, there's no reason to charge anyone with consumption of the safest drug known to man,

and the police officer shouldn't feel the need to resign from his job!!!!!

The police officer stole the weed from confiscation. Yes he should feel the need to resign, I think he should be prosecuted too, but I guess having that phone call on the internet is a pretty embarrassing punishment.
I personally recommend checking oneself for OCD at least once every 5 minutes.

haha "can you please send rescue". That's almost as good as when I kept telling my friend to "call the nurse" the first time I got high and tripped the fuck out :) .
I saw on TV today, this man lost his son, his son died...
So he had him cremated, took his ashes, and then made it into a Diamond ring...
Now he watches his son shine every day.
I just thought about that, while I sit here ashing in this ashtray...

the video was funny but to not placed charges on him is completely stupid. i hate how cops get all this power and authority and when they screw up or something, rarely the worst happens to them. if they are given this much power and authority, if they become corrupt or do something like this, ppl should seek to charge them to the fullest. its not right when this happens.

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.
