Problem is ive been caught smoking hash 5 times (and im only 16), and every time hes went mental :S

I like the leave a note idea, but maybe ask him to hook you up or something. Or offer to smoke with him, thats always good. Maybe you leave a note saying you would like to smoke up with him. I hope it works out man.

I would suggest you leave things as they are and occasionally steal from his stash when you are out. (he probably won't realise)
Then if you ever get caught again and he goes dumb tell him what a great example he is to you.
And how you particularly appreciate phony and hypocrite people telling you how to live your life.
Quit arguing (leave) and let him deal with the remorse or his own actions.
Then when he comes back at you maybe the next day or whatever, diplomatically show him how innacurate and unfair his behavior is to you. Tell him how responsible you are about your occasional weed smoking and how it does not affects the other spheres of your life. Tell him you respect his choices, way of life and character as an human being but that to ensure good relashionships with you two this respect must be showed to you as well.
That the next time he is concerned about your way of life, he should sit down with you and have an open-heart conversation.

Certainly don't rape your old man's stash!! Stealing a nug or two once a week won't hurt. As long as you keep your life together and don't start neglecting to shower or something, there's nothing wrong with toking. Don't let your grades slip, and if/when you get a job, don't fuck that up either. You may be a stoner through and through although sometimes we have to conform to society a bit to get what we want or need.
