What to do after growing a plant...?

So I'm thinking of growing a plant but am unsure of what to do after its grown and all.
I probably sound really slow but how do you make it go from a plant to the finished smokeble product? Do you tear off the leaves and grind it up and there you go like?

you can use the leaves and make hash from it but after the plant grows it has buds on it and u trim them off after a certain period of time then you dry the leaves out (usually upside down on a clothes hanger) for a few days until it gets smokeable.

once it's grown, you trim all the leaves off and hang the bud up, not the other way around, but i think thats what he meant. but then i think you have to cure them, i'm not sure how to cure them though.

So when the leaves are dried out, you chop 'em up and "smoke the bitch up" as Jay put it?

No. you smoke the buds. You squish the leaves to make hash.

Cut off the leaves, hang the buds up with the stem for a few until they lose some of their moisture, remove buds from stem and smoke. To my knowledge at least.

yea leaves and buds are two totally seperate things.

isn't it like...100 grams of leaves can make about 9-10 grams of hash?

I wish I had hash, no one ever sells it around here.
