I have no official document to prove this. I was listening to the radio, and i noticed they were talking about george harrison(beatles).
I start to tune in, and realise they are talking about india in relation to the ''flower power'' culture of the '60s. an indian sitar player called ravi shankar taught George harrison sitar, and thrust indian music into hippy culture, landing him on several tours of america. the bbc dude also claims that marijuana and LSD were on the rise, but that they were ''bad'' or ''nobody used them really''
this is quite crap, and i should expect flaming. i was quite offended and disgusted at this show of blind faced ignorance on national broadcasting.
BBC tries to discourage marijuana use.
