noob question about sizes

How do you contain the size of the plant, i need to grow just a small 12 inch or less plant, how do i change the size? just like a plastic cup as a pot? Also, If there is a way to grow a 12inch or less plant and i do it, how long will it take from the day i drop the seeds in to the day i can start pruning?

you can control the high 1 of 2 ways
1- scrog screen of green - this means putting a large net over the plants and let them grow in to the netting and moving the branches in to holes....so when you come to flowering you will end up wit a even level of buds...do a google search on this

2 - you can bend the plants and tie them down

putting them in smaller pots stop them from growing any taller but this will stop every thing! i.e growing buds.....when a ganja plant comes to flowering some double in size
