in some countrys u can claim its part of ur religion and u are aloud to on religious grounds. But thats only some countries (i guess maybe a few states if ur from the usa) and u would hav to be very convincing that ur a Rastafarian.

it depends on what country it is and the amount they're carrying n where theyr blazing up. Also it isn't so much a religious demand that a 'rasta has to smoke weed', more a cultural choice. There are other religions where smoking weed is seen as a more religious activity, like taoists for example. They have a Goddess of Hemp and Ganj Not just a few brief references in a book of worship..

well, that hindu festival is a religious day for them, and only the sadhu's smoke it. daily, to cut them of from earthly sins or something.

and for the rastafarians, i saw some newsthingy on the internets saying some of them were protesting in south africa becasue they arent allowed to smoke pot anymore. and growing dreads and smelling like you have something dying in your hair 24/7 because you want to be a rastafarian would be too much hassle to get a legal smoke.
