Older gentleman sings for his wife
I just felt like posting this...Yes, it's American Idol but the story behind it is so sweet...
Older man auditions for American Idol for his recently passed wife
It is well worth the three minutes

Saw this when it aired on tv. Guy was going to sing for his wife cause she had cancer or something. and then two days before his audition (or performance since he wasnt really auditioning due to his age) she ends up dying, but he still goes on and sings for her.
Watched it with two other girls, they were doing the regular "awww omg thats soooo sweet" *sniff*sniff*. While me being the supremely macho man i am didnt even break a single tear.....
.....who am i kidding, i curled up into the fetal position and cried his name into my pillow. lol

I am a huge fan of that song...He didn't have to sing a note, as soon as he said the name I started to cry.Gorecore wrote:I wonder how many versions of that song he sang are out there? I heard that tune in the movie Natural Born Killers. Bob Dylan does the version in the movie and soundtrack. It's a really nice song. That guy on American Idol had a nice voice too.
As of the moment, I know of a few versions...
Michael Buble...Kate Rusby...Jason Wade from Lifehouse....Patsy Cline.... Misfits
It's possible, yes. The age bracket is 16-28 and so when someone over 60 comes in, he would have been turned away. They get enough people lying about their age to get throughI bet if he didnt tell them about his wife he would have been told to fuck off.
