need some serious help quick

a good friend of mine is thinkin about killin herself... im freakin pissin my pants because i know shes serious. shes been badly depressed lately and on pills, her familys garbage they dont treat ehr well and a whole bunch of otehr crap...what do i do to stop her?!?!(thiis really important to me seeing as i have some tstrong feelings for her) seriously...anything helps

You have to try and stop her, if that doesn't work get some help for her (i.e. parents, doctors, police). Unless you're willing to let her kill herself.

From my own personal experiences its seems to me that people who threaten with suicide are just looking for attention. Maybe she just wants some good time lovin'.

If you are good friends go over to where she lives and just sit down with her. Sometimes talking with a good friend can make the difference. If that doesn't work call the cops, they will help out and put her in a place where she can't hurt herself.

People depressed enough to want to kill themselves don't have the energy to kill themselves because they're depressed. They'd rather sit in bed and look at the ceiling for the next hundred years.

What kind of pills is she on? Are they street drugs or are they prescribed (SSRI's?) If she just started taking medication for depression and wants to off herself then call the police because now she's still depressed but has the energy and will to make that jump onto the subway tracks.

like imagine ses, just talk to her, n let her talk to u, gotta comfort her, n try n keep her calm, u cant let urself get worked up about this, cos if ur not calm, your not gna calm her
i have personaly been in this situation more than once (she got very suicidal at one point, and into all self-harmin, i was freakin the hell out, but ye gotta at least appear calm, otherwise they'll never calm)

one thing i did, tho i would not suggest this unless you a SURE this will work, but i hit her father shouting at him what hes puttin his daughter thru, course he has hated me since, but he treated her better since it too

tho i would not suggest doin that

Dude, lol, this is so nerve racking. We need to know if she's clinically depressed, or if she's just like over emotional and feeling down in the dumps. If she's clinically depressed and not on her meds you need to call the police now and tell them she's going to kill herself. They will take her and bring her to the pediatric mental health center nearest to you. If she's just feeling down in the dumps and like nobody likes her then she's not actually going to kill herself...she'll down some pills or something and then call an ambulance, I don't think (if she's just being emo) you have anything to worry about.

I'm knowledgable in this field as my girlfriend has bipolar and schizoeffective disorder. PM me if you got specific questions and for gods sake reply soon and let us know what happened if anything.

There's is nothing else to do with this girl than talking with her, everything(exept your own life)is not as important as this girl at this moment, if she dies because you were not fast enought, trust me, you'll be fuckin said saying 'i could have talked to her'

If you can talk to her, do everything so she don't kill herself....

the only solution here's communication.

no shes clinicly depressed >.< i dont know exactly what pills shes on but theyre prescribed. i think shes over it...well at least looking at the bright side. i did go over to her place and talk (smoked a bowl for the both of us) i think that helped anyways. i didnt tell her how i feel though >.< "idiot"

make sure she doesnt slip back into it though. i had a friend once who was clinically depressed, and attempted suicide twice.

shes already tried once, this time was gonna be the second >.< sometimes she shuts people out though. like shell sign out of msn, not pick up the phone not even answer her door. how do i make her feel better then

just invite her over to your house and just talk for a while and have fun. have her get off the pills cuz that might be the reason why that happens. Just talk to her 1 on 1 and try to make her feel better and try to compliment her alot.
