Making Tuuneess

Post by djjj128 »

Anyone else do this shit? When your stoned you spend ages on one drum part or something and it ends up soo detailed...v creative but unproductive when chung. Most of these beats were made sober... feedback much appreciated... ( :D

Nice :)

You call yourself a DnB DJ or is it something more breakbeatish

nvm,JJ stylee just hit 50secs - haha Mc hammer, nice :) and the 'downtune' as I call it on 1.02 is a bit Pendulum-like, nice :) after that it starts reminding me of erh what's his name, I think it's Dj clipz with Kung Fu or something like that.

I'm loving this man, but maybe you should try and find your own unique style, 'cause right now there's alot of elements that remind me of other DnB dj's

Let me know when you've got more tunes cause you're pretty good!

edit: Okay so I just listened to all the tracks

I love the chilled out lounge DnB tune on Skisk
The beat on Burst reminds me of the High Contrast the streets has it come to this remix but that doesnt bother me

You can use alot more of those heavy unearthy bases though!!!!

Anyway, JJ Stylee and Boxc made it to my Ipod :) Congratz! You are now on my snowboardtracklist :)
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Hey just a question, I am very noob to DnB, and making it and all that good stuff... Do you use a program on the computer like fruity loops or something? or is there another one you suggest... I'd really like to start making some

In this day an age man, I'd suggest using predominantly software. I use mostly Reason or Logic, plus Recycle, wavform porggys, and reaktor and absynth. I have a mixer for drums, guitar and bass.

Everyone, cheers for the feedback on the tunes...I like having a stab every now and then at other people's styles, but I'd like to think a tune like skisk kinda falls into my own style...any cheers.

And I can't actually DJ for shit, despite owning a pair of decks. I shall learn one day, but right now I'm just a producer. Most of my tunes aren't DnB anyway, it just happens that thats what I'm doing right now...
