I don't know much about baking with weed. I've always heard you have to heat weed in order to release the THC. THC isn't water soluble but apparently it likes fat and is happy to set up camp within a fatty substance. That's why so many people must make cannabutter.
Would the bread be warm enough to activate the THC? Does the bread contain the proper ingredients for the THC to live?
I'll stop here because I have no fucking clue.

if your going to do it the way you explained you would need to activate the thc first before you put it in the bread... all you have to do is put the oven on about 175 and put your weed (finely chopped) into an envelope of aluminum foil and bake it for about 5-10 minutes... then you can practically put it on anything to get high....
or you can cook the weed with the bread from the beginning

me and my class are going white water rafting you see, and it is a 4 hour bus trip there and 4 hours back, and i plan on eating up so im high on the bus and trip out with all my mates. my plan is to come home the day before and make a loaf of bread, as it duznt take long to set-up (cannabutter is too time-consuming) and i may add cheese as i read somewhere that thc dissolves in fat or something. i plan to eat it the next morning. i was wondering about how long it would take for the effects to kick in (im new to eatin)
please help
P.S also with the aliminum thing how long would the thc be activated for? would it ever de-activate?

I've always heard to be careful with eating food cooked/baked with weed in it. The THC has to enter your bloodstream to become effective. Since there is no "bloodstream" in your belly, the food has to digest a bit and get released.
So it's a slower process to get high. You take a few tokes on a joint or blunt of good quality dank and you're feelin' good, right? Then you smoke your joint up and are feeling great. You can decide if you want to smoke more or wait a bit.
With eating, you can eat too much in one sitting and have yourself getting high after 1-2 hours after consumption. Then as your weed bread continues to digest, it keeps getting you higher and higher...and you have no real control over it...because the bread is in your belly releasing it's stoner-y goodness into your blood and pumping it through your gooey little brain.
Don't ask how many slices of bread would be worth eating in one sitting to get high. It would depend on how much weed you put in the bread, I suppose.

I wouldn't recommend trying this. Although I've never had any marijuana food aside from a failed leary biscuit, using this method seems like it would be innefective because there's no fat or oils present for the released THC to be stored in. Pretty much a waste of weed if you ask me.
But I mean, feel free to try it, I'm only like 70% sure it won't work.

that would vaporize all the THC out of the weed into the air inside the oven, unless you are planning on literally hotboxing the oven, this would be throwing away perfectly good weed that could have been smoken!

you can make up all of these theories about what can happen and what would happen.. but I've baked tons of weed and sold my cookies and such for a profit... if it didnt work i would be out of business and i would have literally wasted pounds of weed.
try it if you want. if you dont believe me just test it on a gram or 2 first

I think jusjoe is right... as long as you heat it to less than 356 degrees F, and then put it on something thats got fat on it (aka pizza, grilled cheese) that was still hot and let it sit for a few minutes , the thc wouldnt be vaporized but it would be hot enough to extract to the fat... says so in my book
