$0.79 for salt and $1.45 for Rubbing Alcohol.
7-11 Carries both. I prefer 99 proof Alcohol, but 70 proof works just fine.

and for smaller pieces (like pipes) ive found that soaking it in highest proof rubbing alcohol can remove tar/resin nicely, and leave the pipe celan enough to go on an airplane (yep. i done it. bought a new pipe, smoked out of it about a week, did this, and i got through fine.
