Well guess what I was 18 on Saturday and after being incredibly drunk and sick early on Sunday morning, my parents come to me today and say "Your not going to university if you don't quit smoking weed."
This came about after i asked them if they had "stolen" anything out my bag (my grinder was missing and my new lighter which was a present) They've known i've been smoking for about 4 years now and found out, I think it was the Christmas before last.
They have always hated it but had to put up with it because they simply can't stop me leaving the house etc.
So I'm currently studying at a 6th form college doing Philosophy, ICT and Politics, recently did resit modules and improved my grades from a C,C,E to a B,C,D. yet still my parents seem to think that I will not work if i go to university and have the ability to smoke weed day in day out.
So now i'm stuck with their prejudice. As it stands, If i dont quit smoking weed i'm not going to university. They think it will be a waste of money.
(I have been in private education since I can remember, and it costs alot as most people know) I could quite happily get a job or use my enterprising skills (lol) and setup after i've finished 6th form, but it would still feel like a bit of a waste not goin to uni.
If anyone can give any advice it would be great, I have no idea if I really want to goto university now, I've had to cope with their constant lectures and fall outs over the whole pot thing for far too long it seems.
