bong/resin cleaning

well this girl, let me have her bong, and well once i got home from school, i inspected it. It is ceramic, so i cant take it apart, but i can see that it has never been cleaned. the bowl had about 3-4mm thick of resin, but i scraped it off. the problem lies at teh bottom. I can see that the bottom of it has a huge layer of resin, but i don't know how to get it out, as it is inacessible. So, how do i get rid of teh resin?

ive heard boiled water works or alcohol. not boiled alcohol

Yes, but I think you might have to be sort of careful boiling the ceramic, you don't want to crack it, or maybe it doesn't matter, I'm not sure

depending on where you live, you can buy this shit from stores called stardrops. my glass peice was stained so badly that i thought id never get it clean. i tried loads of things but nothing worked. anyways, i went to work on it with some star drops and off went the nasty tar and shit.

I think I saw somebody mention that the cleaning product Formula 420 was supposed to work well too. Here it's available in most chain stores like Walmart or Canadian Tire.
