shoom growing question

i'm trying to learn on how to grow shrooms indoors and i have 2 small questions. Is a spore syringe just a normal syringe thats sterilized? Why should i use a spore syringe to insert the spores in the rice cake, cant i just scrape the spores of with somthing sterilized (like a knife) and shake up the jar?

the whole in the needle is bigger in the shroom syringes. as for spreading it with a knife i have no idea but ive never heard of it being done.

nah dude. the syringe is mostly to inject a large amount of spores into one place, in the middle of the cake. shaking it up will not have the same effect.

haha they grow down here in cow poop. right on the top of them. no need to grow in florida.
