What the hell is wrong with us?
I just finished watching a video of a cop punching the shit out of some 60yr old man in new orleans, then they proceeded to grab the guy holding the camera and beat the shit out of him too...
right after showing the video they're lawyer is arguing that they never punched the guy. It's america so most likely the cops will get off with a suspension and be back on the street in a week...so can we make this a fuck the police thread...fucking pigs

“Cannibalism? Racism? Dude, that’s not for us ... those decisions are better left to the suits in Washington. We’re just here to eat some dude!”

I honestly think the media is slowly driving the world into a downword spiral of insanity and violence.
The most influential media device of the 20th century has to be television. The Internet and computers are rapidly approaching to surpass television as a main source of information and entertainment.
Can you imagine time warping back to the 1950's and showing them the 'net or satellite televison? Their brains would probably collapse into a pile of jellified muck.
The people of today are constantly bombared with information, advertising, bigger is better, consumerism, more, more...more of everything.
Anyone ever listen to stories from their father's or grandfathers about how it was 'back in the day'? My dad grew up in a fairly rough neighborhood and had a tough upbringing. His mom died when he was 12, his dad was a drunk, so he practically raised himself. He told me he would get into a lot of fights and watched a lot of fights. There wasn't any of this ganging up on one person bullshit. There also wasn't this bullshit of beating a person into a coma...or death.
I think my story has a point...
Selfishly enough, I think I'll be long dead before the world self-destructs with utter chaos, panic, disorder...hell on earth. Not necessarily in the biblical sense...fuck knows, I'm not religious at all.
Ah well, back to playing guitar and smoking weed.

America is the most hypocritical country in the world. Shit happens everywhere, but America makes it look like when shit happens in America it's not that bad. Almost like their shit doesn't stink. (this is nothing personal, I'm talking about the goverment and the way the country is ran)
I couldn't agree more. I belive that TV has robbed us of our own essential self-esteem. We're all hypnotised by that box. We become what the media wants us to become. I don't watch TV more than an hour a day any more... the hypocirisy and the soul make-up makes me sick.I honestly think the media is slowly driving the world into a downword spiral of insanity and violence.

Speak for yourself, I dont watch television anymore, got fed up when 85% of what they showed became commercials.Scratch wrote:America is the most hypocritical country in the world. The world of commerce has changed, I remember our old television that lasted for roughly 9 years, then we got a new one and it lasted 3 years and then gave up on us.
All products that you buy now (televisions, cellphones, cars, whatever holds technology) are made to last 5years tops, then you gotta throw them away and purchase new ones...Just another example of how the crazed top layer of our societies control the way we live just by having us buy crappy products that might seem like quality but are in fact just sad sad heaps of threads and whatnot they put in htere
