dear members, mods, guests,

I have loved this site, since me and asmo first came up with the idea. i have watched it grow into a thriving community. i havent been on newhere near asmuvh as most the mods or veteran members, but i have always checked in to either stick my rhymes in the stoners poems or to add some random craziness from the depths of my soul in the mass debate section.

I put my money into it even when i had court action threats and various action been threatened over my dire finances. i put massive effort in to get the site up and running as did asmo. i really thought that we(me and amso) had started something special, with a community of openminded stoners who would al lbe cool to each other, and loosely follow the rules of the site. the mods that were chosen, mainly by amso, have done a sterling job in pruning and keeping the membership growing.

for the first time in ages, i have had a chance to go through in deatil, the forums to see how things have been going and i have been digusted, disheartened and sickened by some of the stuff i have read by regular members.

sexism, thuggery and flaming are commonplace on here. now i hate all that stuff, so i thought i would do something about it and try to remind people of the values asociated with the original idea of weedguru.com.

i wont be giving the site address to neone else i meet cos frankly its embarrassing now. how the fuck would ne of you feel if your mate said to you something like
'hey check out my site, its full of wicke dopen minded fellow stoners with much intersting debate topics, ryhmes, films lot sof intriguing stuff'

then you went on the site and the first thing you read was moderator explaning how he had just glassed someone then kicked em in with his mates. or how someone who got mugged was publicly branded a pussy a faggot a bitch by the regular members?

edit- cos some of you seem to think that this has some bearing on recent events, it doesnt, its just something ia dded in my haste, which i have alwsy disputed savagely when poeople have retunrd and told me bad things about the site, they have all been met with abuse from me.
so if you wish to think that it has any bearing on my actions or words, then fine, but its not the way it is. else i would hav ereacted then wouldn it. i have reacted the way i have, after a week of personal intense almost 24 hours a day access to the site and it is fromt he site that i reatced

maybe you would laugh and say 'yeh i love it, its do great to have such freedom of expression, isnt it great!!!'
but unfrotunately i wouldnt.

after i reaserched the site i had the impression tha the popular members could pretty much act how they wanted, abuse who they wanted and generaly not give a fuck. that was an impression which has been confirmed by theselast few days.

at first i was very angry, but after reading all the posts and jusmeandmupies return comments, and the mods comments, have been very upset and down all afternoon.

so i have decided simply to leave the site. i have no ntention of selling it to recop my finacial investment but i also have no intention of banning neone else, or trying to uphold thae values that me and asmo had in mind when we crreated the site.

if you want your friend pipe back on the site i wont come back and ban her and you can ask asmo to unban her ip or wahtver needs to be done. if you want to have fun flaming people go ahead. if you want to be racist sexits or prejudice, or abuse the mods or whoever you pleae, then go ahead. if oyu want to respect members who no matter what theu do, stay on the site, go ahead!
i dont care nemore.

so yeh have fun and enjoy the site,all admin questions can be put to asmodeus or the mods.

i will miss some of the people on here who i greatly respect or just plain like as decent human beings.

so yeh, farewell.

Sooo you come here with a very strong and positive mentality to improve the site, even if it takes drastic measures, then things get stressful for...not even a week and you leave again? Man...just don't take everything so seriously, if someone is annoying you it's pretty easy to just ignore them. I dunno if you've ever browsed other forums online but it's IMPOSSIBLE to find one without at least some flamers and immature people running their mouths, to just pop in sporatically and expect a whole community of people to just accept and conform to your will just because youre an admin is pretty silly.

Anyways, good luck dan, i still think youre a good guy.

it is true every fourm on the net is gonna have poeple flamin others. it is just life u have to deal with it you dont need to let people destroy something you have created. Yeah maby it is not being used the way you would like it to but at least it is being used.

I never had a problem with animal myself. He always seemed pretty cool to me. Obviously he isnt liked by all the members here but come on every member doesnt like someone on the boards. All i can really say is, Animal its a shame your leaving.

although i agree with everything animal has said so far, i dont agree that ur bailing out. when ur life isnt going exactly how u want it too do u just give up so easily?
stick around, post ur poems, and post ur mass debates. voice ur opinions, just be like the rest of us. be yourself. but if needs be, leave the moderation and control of the boards to the mods that u credited for doing so well so far.

This is just shit. Animal man don't leave you were on the same wave length as me man you had good taste in music and i always thought you were a good guy. I think you have overeacted in a way over everything, like sammy said how can you expect a site to be flame free? At least if you stay maybe you could help reform people views rather than just up and leave. Thats just my view man if you want to go its up to you good luck with everything..

I think I missed something when I was out of town these past few days or sumtin....

I dunno, I havent been around long enough to provide a good argument for you to stay, but it is sad to see someone so key to the site's history leave right as I find the place.

All I know is that in general I like it here. I can toke, pull up these boards, and find something to read or talk about in a nice chill setting. This is the internet, if you think this board is bad you aint seen nothin yet.

If you are really that disappointed, why not take a more aggressive stance against what you dont like? Im not saying you should go facist on everyone, but maybe a 3-strikes youre out kind of thing. If you think a member is being a rag, let them know it, then kick em out, and tada.

It's just you created a site about weed but then you really expect it to be flame free and for everyone to be exactly how you want them to be? You rule these boards, not the people who post on them, or what they post.

Dude, this is absolutely ridiculous, you can't just leave coz the going got a little tough. You will NEVER find a site on which everyone shares your point of view, or one where everyone is completely mature.

Believe me when i say that you have created something great here. I have never had the pleasure of being on a site which has such a good blend of intelligence, humour and freedom of expression, while still maintaining such a strong sense of community, despite being so culturally diverse.

For the most part i feel this site lives up to all the ideals you were looking for on it's creation. Unfortunately, one of the things that goes in hand with being so culturally diverse is that not everyone is going to be the same as you. Alot of people use this almost as an online diary, so when stuff like fights happen, they put it on here. This is common place for some people, and horrific to others. We are all different, that's what makes us interesting.

As for the flaming, some people are just idiots, and others want to point it out. I agree that people do go too far on occasions, but the majority of the time i think it is justified. It is definately better than it was no long ago.

The sexism, i kinda get the feeling that that is at least partially directed at me. I am not a sexist, i love women and treat the ones that deserve it with the utmost respect. Anything that may be interpreted as sexism you hear from me, 80% of the time it's a joke, the rest it is entirely justified. I never cuss females as a whole, just specific ones who deserve it. (edit: ok, maybe there's some drunken male stupidity in there too, but nobody's perfect.)

If what you really want is a site filled with different people from different cultures brought together by a love of the sacred herb, a place for open minded stoners from all walks of life to communicate and enjoy each others company, all the while learning from each other, then you should stay with the site you created and, deep down, love. If what you want is a site full of people who share all your views, or at least pretend to, then i guess you had better leave.

I sincerly hope that you choose the former, as, regardless of how you may think at the moment, you will be sorely missed.

Weedguru, in my opinion, is beginning to return to it's former glory, the way it was back in the old days. We are not there yet, but it is definately happening, and it would be a shame for the site's creator not to be a part of it.

I hope you reconsider, but if not i wish you all the luck in the world in your future endeavours, and will hit you up on msn whenever possible.
