Oh my fucking god. That was the closest i have come to crying in a very, very long time. What the fuck was that? Sven needs to get the chop, you simply cannot blame anyone but the manager in this instance, or any of the last three games for that matter.

Clear tactical errors throughout. He came under alot of stick after the Denmark game and felt like he needed to react, and tried to get to clever. True, this formation brings out the best in beckham, but that's it. You do not sacrifice the form of Rooney, Lampard and Gerrard for a decent performance by Beckham.

He must have known that Northern Ireland would stick alot of men behind the ball and hope for the best, closing down space and not giving us room to move or pass through, which is what a 4-5-1 system thrives on. We needed 2 up front and good interplay between the front two to carve the defence open, but no, sven tries to be clever and cost us the game, and probably top spot in the group now.

And Rooney at wide left? You do not play your best player miles out of position, practically isolating him from the game. You look at the players and their qualities, then decide the formation, not pick the formation then try and squeeze your players around that. This style of play took rooney, lampard and gerrard practically out of the game, and they are our best players.

And then he takes of Wright Phillip,s when he was the only player who looked like he could create something for us. That Beckham to Wright Phillips ball was the only one that looked incisive, and Svens fear of taking off his big names meant he was taken off.

If he really had to keep his precious 4-5-1 system, it's quite clear that he should have brought on Cole for Owen, put Rooney up front and Cole on the left. Rooney plays much better as a lone striker as he holds the ball up weel and brings players into the game, which is essential in that formation. His strength and balls skills would have allowed Lampard and Gerrard to get into the box, rather that Beckham knocking hopeful balls out wide and the ''wingers'' having only Owen to aim at.

Only just scraped past Austria. at least it was a 442. I dont believe that Sven has the ability to think on his feet. The idiotic decision of the ref to send beckham off meant that we had to defend, and possibly hope to score on a swift counter attack. But the only way to do this is by using pace. One of the best players in the world at doing this is Owen as he regularly proved for Liverpool, but he brought him off and left Crouchy on. I'm probably Crouch's biggest fan after his own mother, but there is no way he should have been left on in these circumstances.
As the SWP substitution in the Northern Ireland game was equaly mystifying, I really am losing any sort of respect for Sven, he does need to go before the finals. Sam Allerdice should be in - I think he would be an awesome international manager - just look at how thorough he is, he also seems to be able to bring out the best in all his players, speaks sense and would re-introduce some passion to our game.
