Eminem question?

So basically been listening to a lot of Eminem recently and From his first albums up through his Encore albums I can tell a major difference and tone in his voice. I was asking some people there opinions on this and they told me it's because eminem was so fucked up off of so many drugs in his younger days that's why his tone sounds different then it does now. Is this true or just a rumour?

Fucking eh, i was thinking the same thing yesterday. Some radio staion played My Name Is and im like WTF? Sounds like two different people.

I think his hole music thing has just gone down hill along with the sound of his voice although i haven't compared songs yet..

Yeah, I think his balles dropped all of a sudden. But If you took the tone of his voice these days, and placed it on the old tracks, it would sound good. I used to bloody love him, then I discovered UK Garage and UK Hip Hop, but I stopped liking him when he brought out "Encore"
SHIT ALBUM imo.
All he does is sings.

He puts on a stupid voice alot of the time now, probably to match his stupid lyrics. Hey, at leasthe's consistent.

Damn I used to be the most hardcore Shady fan, but I am really startin to get sick of the guy. That song Mockingbird, half the rhymes are shitty and forced and fucking pathetic, he rhymes "sleep" with "dream", that only partially rhymes. I can't believe he couldn't think of a better word to rhyme with "sleep", especially after his old work. And my god all the choruses he sings in just make me want to jab a fuckin nail in my brain. That song Puke...I think I did while I was listening to it. Em can not sing, and he's borderline incapable of rappin.

another old thread... but I was thinking the same thing because I actually really liked his first album and in encore theres only one song i enjoy because I think the ending is really funny where he makes fun of jessica simpson (the whole thing where she didnt know if she was eating tuna or chicken because the logo on the tuna can was "chicken of the sea") its called My first single or something

LOL ur all fucking stupid, his shit sounds different because each album is a different project, plus better recording equiptment and different ideas on how to mix and master the vocals,

That doesnt have shit to do with it, new equipment doesnt change the voice of an artist. Not to mention since he stopped doing large amounts of drugs he has changed the subject matter in his music. I think he's getting worse with every album he puts out.

back in the days he was much better,when he had a higher voice,you can call me a hater but i didnt like 1 track of encore...

EDIT:found my brothers curtain call album,IMO nearly everything good he has done is on that album,except for freestlyes,collabs unrelased shit etc....

Anything after The Eminem Show in 2002 is pretty fuckin lame in my opinion.
