okay I got my nice new PHATTY computer, a P4 2.4 gig with 500 some megs of ram, all these audio/video ports and a dvd burner. Firstly I need to get it online. Then I need someone to send me or I need to get a good filesharing program. I need to download as many movies and songs as I can before I go.

I am selling some cool computer shit to finance my trip. If you have a paypal account and are interested, I have 24 port routers, a shitload of RAM, some 20 gig hard drives, and a cd burner. I will sell to WG members at absurdly low prices.

lastly, can someone tell me if I will be able to set my computer up online at this place I'm going. I have a wireless router but don't know????

even if you have a wireless router you will still need a phone socket to plug into. i would phone or pm sammy and ask him what there is. bit torrent is good for movies i think, even if there isnt much selection they will download quick

Well actually I already have the top piece. I was under the impression the middle one would set me up without a phone line.
It's a card for your pc with an antenae. What the hell is the point of a wireless router if you still need wires? I also have a laptop with a wireless card I'll be taking.

I have dlink.. no wires......... just the signal to my dads office comp..same goes to my moms and my bros comps........ but my dads is connected to the phone line n all that shiznit.
I love DSL, it only took forever for them to give it to us country folks!

caro, that thing in the middle goes inside your computer and recieves the signal from the router which is plugged into the phone line, basically what jus.me said.

The computer im buyin comes with phat wireless router but i dont fucking need it, when my computer comes (around the start of next week) i could maybe sell it through pay-pal v. cheap or i could swap it for a hard drive and some ram. Sorry if this is of no use im pretty blazed but i think you want a wireless router. If you havent got enough phonelines and your not shy to try some d.i.y. i can give you instructions on splitting them so you have a socket in every room you need.
