Rivulets of tears stream down my face
I put my hand into the water
Ripples flow out like growing lace
Beautiful, as was your laughter.

Such an expanse of reflective deep
So serene, so watery a bed
You sank into your peaceful sleep
You will never laugh again.

I can see your happy smile
I will honor your memory
I will keep moving while
Your water washes over me.
