Villagers teach how projects impact people [Part-2]
He was the man who became the ears and mind of the villagers. He hopped on the Internet and found that the International Finance Corporation [IFC] of the World Bank was funding the project. Thakkar lit an electronic fuse that exploded in distant Washington. The IFC commissioned public hearings to be conducted by Shekar Singh of the Centre for Equity Studies in New Delhi. Singh roped in Arvind Kejriwal of Parivartan and Dr Shailja Vohra, a consultant ecologist. And so began some extraordinary fair play on behalf of people.
The Civil Society print article, with field reports by Colin Fernandes is very detailed and it is hoped it will become available online one day. For it unveils what fine—and deeply sensitive— concerns people do bring to the fore when asked.

Thats what uni's about!!! Eating some beef and finding its not quite to your taste!!!
Soon enough, there'll be no more of that "Tola" shit for ya. By the time I'm in Goa I wanna see some kilo's.
agreed. if im coming along too, you'll need more than 10 grams to keep me happy. im sure A_Fire_Inside will need more than that himself
congratulations btw
10 grams????? dont be silly....if you people do land up...ill take you up to the hills and get you 500 grams for 187 GBP...hows that?
hmmm. if im staying for a month or so, depends on how much cash i can muster, but im sure i can get through 500 grams in a month. if not, everyone whos going (did i see other people say they'd come as well?) we could all chip in, share weed, share a big ass flat or apartment, just leave the weed in the main room, who ever wakes up first, skins up, shit like that

well, if you, me, funk doc, and a_fire_inside are going, wouldnt it be cheaper to rent a 4 room apartment or something ? just a thought... just like buying 500 grams of fine hash, would be cheaper all round, and if we're there for a while, well, can always get more
a two bed room in the hills (place is called Manali..check it on google if you like) will cost (at the most) 300 rupees a night and most hotel ppl alow you to dump an extra mattress in at no extra cost (or maybe 50 rupees per night more)..if you REALLY want to go budget...
you could rent an apartment but then most ppl wont give it for less than 6-8 months...
in Goa...its the same...except booze is a fuck lot cheaper (in Manali a 750ml of Old Monk rum is 280 rupees, in Goa its 80 rupees...beer is 10 rupees for a pint...etc etc)
