Dog kills cat.

My dog back home is huge. He is absolutely wicked and i would never see anythin bad happen to him. But last October when he was out in the garden sniffin about he managed to corner a cat. Before we could get to him he had already caused it serious damage. We took it to the vet and that night it died. The vets contacted the owners and obviously they were gutted. But the bastards have gone to court and we're waitin for a decision on whether he will be put down for being savage and uncontrollable. But this fuckin cat was in our garden, and its his nature to hate the little shits. I dont see how this has even been allowed to go to court and the worst thing is i only found out last night as muv 'didnt want to worry me'! This is shit it really is, does anyone actually think that my dog who has never bitten anyone and not even growled deserves this. If he gets put down for this at 3 years old, is this in anyway right? Im completely gutted, this dog goes everywhere with me when im back home, he's a great stud aswel. I swear i will do serious damage to this family if their court action ends in my dogs death.

It pisses me right off how a human thinks it has the right to choose whether an animal lives or dies. Your dog has my full support. If my dog did that, i'd be pissed off that it had killed a cat, but fuck, if the dog has beef with the cat, ah shit, now there's jus too many animals.

Your dog shouldn't die.

i don't think they will put your dog to sleep. i mean you did pay the vet bills, so that should be more than enough for a judge to dismiss the case. only thing that might happen is the judge saying that since the dog tasted blood it might might him dangerous or something along those lines. i know when i was little i had a part wolf/ part chow dog and it attacked a horse so we had to put him down. one of the worst days of my life. anyways, i hope it all works out for you man.

i dont think anything can happen to your mutt...he was on your OWN property..it wasnt like you were walking him and he jumped the pussy...

Those people should be controlling there animals. Has your dog ever attacked a human? if not then I think you will get to keep your dog. Best of luck man,

Anyways back to the point. I think its harsh whats could happen to your dog. Stupid fucking cat shouldn't of of given him beef like AFI said but i guess its just nature. Cats and Dogs fight i don't think the dog should be put down for it. Hope things go ok mate

shit guy i voted yes by accident cos wen i read the title "dog kills cat" i thot u meant "dogs kill cats" as in they're much better, and i like dogs better so i said yes (i hadnt read any of the posts yet). But no i definately do not think ur dog should be put down.

The only support I can see for putting your dog down is that he might be a danger to small children? I mean what if that was a toddler that wandered into your yard? But, since it wasn't, and his behavior was probably only natural defense, I don't think he should have to die as well. Good luck....
