Laptop Users And Computer Tech!...

My laptop keeps on turning itself off, not even with saying something like "Windows is shutting down" It just... turns off. As if you pulled out the power cable of a desktop, a fully charged battery is also fitted and it is on mains power!
I can not think of why its doing it.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys.

hmmm try switching a diff battery if you can. I'm not saying to go buy one just yet. srry cant help u too0 much cuz da only comp forums i check up on are pc's

I've no idea what's wrong but some computer maitanence places take a look at your computer free of charge. It could be something really simple or you might have to pay for a complicated repair.

With most pc`s/laptop the cpu comes with a built in saftey feature... if the cpu is getting to hot then it will automatically shut down to save it basically.. not saying this is the problem but it could be

I agree with stan. I have a p4 laptop and I run folding@home and its setup to use 100% cpu. It shuts down after a couple days of constant running because it gets so hot. Get a program called mobile meter I believe and watch your temps. Also just to be on the safe side make sure youver got all the newest updates. And also run your adware/spyware program and antivirus.

yeah get spybot s&d or something, check for viruses aswell

unlikely to be a virus id say, more than likely a loose connection in ur power suply somewhere, or as said before a safety feature of ur motherboard cmos.
if all else fails, like suggested before, take into a good computer store, and they should check it for free, well they do in the uk.
