It was a freezing cold day,
The sky grey, but clear,
I had to travel,
As I may not be in England for mothers day next year…
The ride began well,
I was making good time,
The lack of traffic allowed the revs to steadily climb,
Up into an area,
Where any faster would be kinda scarier….
I made my stop at Hastings,
Time for a joint by the sea,
I found chance to dwell,
On how I love feeling so free..
Whenver I jump on my bike,
And turn my hand,
Move effortlessy and gracefully,
Over any kinda land,
Or terrain,
Lose all my memories of any pain,
That affect me when im on two feet,
Fuck, I’d be in heaven if I could ride and hear a decent beat….
10 miles further on,
the thick clouds began to form,
the temperature was dropping,
and I couldn’t remain warm..
the rain started falling,
and then soon came the sleet,
I’d gone too far in my journey,
to turn round and face defeat,
I had to see my mum,
Of this I was decided,
I shoulda listened to the forecast,
That she herself had provided!
But as always,
I said,’whatever!,
By Saturday night,
You me and the cats will be 2getha…
So don’t fret,
Please don’t worry,
I’ll take the trip easy,
I’m in no hurry…’
Onwards we flew,
As the sleet turned into snow,
The light faded,
The countryside around m began to glow,
so white,
So bright,
As the period of dusk was swallowed up by the night…
It became so thick,
That I couldn't even see,
Stuck in a vast, fast moving column of traffic,
Was the worst place in the world to be,….
But there was nowhere to stop,
There was far too much danger,
Of been run over in an instant,
By a following stranger,
(In a ford
Or maybe a mercedes,
But then who would be left to look after all the ladies?
Hahha but that’s a joke,
As here I am womanless and broke,
Cos I find it too hard to stay with just one,
let alone many,
it seems there comes this point when im receiving a pound,
but only giving back a penny…..)
so I rode on, kinda blind,
without the aid of my eyes,
I could spot the lights of a car 30 metres ahead,
But not its make or it's size..
When usually I see like a hawk,
I got sight as wicked as the Honda's crazy torque….
So many times,
I thought that I was gone,
But it was like an area around me,
Was protected by a energy that shone,
From where I don’t know,
Maybe the angel Raphael,
Someone was looking out for me,
Who or what I couldn’t tell,
But I made it through the blizzard,
Doing around fourty five,
When in condtions that bad,
I was very lucky to survive…
I couldn’t feel my toes,
My fingers were struck with an ice age freeze,
the engine kept on running,
It would take a apache gunship to make her sieze..
I pondered,
As through, the roads turned snow fields, I wandered,,
That maybe,
There were agents of a divine being,
Sent to save me….
Who don’t care,
About my money issues,
Or my lovelife;
a cyclical voyage of kisses and tissuesss.
But instead,
They just come calling when the emergency light shines red,
When I really need aid,
Their work I notice,
But still their identities are never displayed…
I made it to my mum’s house,
it took me four hours,
but in the midst of the storm,
I was sure I felt touched by some crazy powers…
And it was worth the difficulties,
Just to see my mother,
Cos truly I love her now, and always will,
Like I do for no other……
It was afreezing cold day
