I got this theory about love,
Not the kind you give to your cat, your mum or your bruv,
The kind that flows between a woman and a man,
The best part of gods master plan,

What if this unseen power is finite,
If its storage facility is only of a certain height?
the more you love the more you use,
the more it touches another heart, it becomes easier to lose.

If you give all you got, and you end up burned,
That love stays attached even though the tide has turned,
You cant take it back, cos its been taken away,
A few years of devotion cut from your soul in a day.

A heart can recover,
But never retrieve the emotion it poured into the old lover,
And maybe it can’t give as much again,
Its like half the ink has been taken from the pen.
