i am unaware of the canadian governments real ins and outs of operations so I cant say anything with conviction on that issue but as for the american army....
They were extremely useful in the early 20th centruy when we had a nazi explosion in europe but in more modern times, they US army have served business interests NOT 'defending US liberty'...this is an unavoidable fact when dealing with the current US army.

Afganistan...increased de-stabilisation of an already chaotic country but good news for skagheads because opium production has also increased dramatically since the US/UK invasion,

Iraq- Without any doubt MUCH more fucked up than it was when Saddam was ruling the roost with a ak47 and crazy grin...the death toll per day is becoming reminscent -in number, not method-- to the Serbian slaughter of the Kosovans....

so that is 2 recent wars which were notthing and i really really mean NOTHING to do with mantaining the safety of US citizens..

TERRORISM HAS INCREASED DRAMATICALLY SINCE THE US (and the more clandestine UK) DECIDED TO WAGE WAR UPON AFGANISTAN AND IRAQ...

'I wanna know why you took us to war?
why im shooting at people i got no animosity for??"

good question from Akrobatik and one which Mr Bush could no doubt answer with some typically Christian Craziness like
"God told me to invade Iraq, like God told me to invade afganistan"..yes but what we really want to know is who it is that bush refers to when he uses the term 'GOD' ...

SO to any Americans, and especially those who are patriotic, why the hell would you want to go to war and be told who to kill by a whimsical demented pig ignorant bible-bashing man-child????

true that. bush is fuckin shit up for us out here in the states. that's why i think it's better to go to a military college with no commitments, cause after you have a degree you can decide whether or not to join any armed force. and if you choose not to join, you have a degree for life. while if you choose to join, you arent just slapped with a gun and a helmet and told to go shoot some people, you can have a chance to be the guy telling people what to do.

loads of colleges out there to do it too.

for instance:
King's Point-Navy
West Point-Army
Any state maritime college (SUNY Maritime)-Navy or Coast Guard

these colleges and more give you a choice. not to mention by the time i graduate we'll have a new president with hopefully some better policies about war. that way i won't have to worry about dying as much.

Animal- I agree Iraq is becoming very unstable. It is much worse now then it was with Saddam, it has destabilized to a point of almost open civil war. Bush has made bad decisions and is very likely to now get nothing done with the rest of his term because of his low approval. Not trying to start an argument BUT Al-Qaeda and Osama harbored in Afganistan and they were responsible for the deaths of 2,000+ American Citizens. IMO, Afganistan could have been handled differently but something needed to be done.

Also there have been 2,377 American deaths in Iraq. With a military over 500,000 the chances of dieing are .004754.

for a country that makes it unlawful to kill people on their soil what makes it acceptable to kill on anyone elses soil. i have yet to see a single benefit to war.....

yet you have Che in your avatar pic. Sometimes war is needed. As it was needed in the Cuban revolutionary war and WWII. But ya, war sucks. i would post a better and prolonged input on this, but im stoned out of my mind.
Cheers,
