what was your new years resolution?

Happy new year, how you doin? its nice to see your face,
Its been a while, so how you been? you know you're hard to trace!
Why does it takes so long to see the people we hold so dear?
And why when we find the one we need, do we act so sincere?

i have not seen you for quite some time, but still i remember your face,
I have missed your smile, ive missed your touch, ive missed your warm embrace,
the silliness that seems so near but is so far away,
Was once so near but now so far, why dont we make it stay?

So now it comes to the new-year and we are here once more,
Making us feel whole again, to help relieve the sore,
we try to attempt to release the past, and begin a brand new start,
away from doubt, away from hate, to heal our broken heart.

the resolutions of this new-year again not destined to last,
treat every moment with your all, so resolutions wont be based on past...
