MAN KILLED BY 23,000 SPLIFFS
Jan 20 2004
`First Brit' to die of dope poisoning
By Richard Smith
A YOUNG man has died from cannabis poisoning after smoking around 23,000 joints.
Experts believe Lee Maisey, 36, is the first Briton to die as a direct result of taking the drug.
Cannabis will be downgraded from a class B to a class C illegal drug by the Government on January 29. The move means most small-scale users will be let off with a warning.
[zombienote: This is wishful thinking: a complete fabrication. The British reefer madness delegation is as nutty as the American and they have been desparate to be able to make this outlandish claim.]
Leesmoked around six joints aday for 11 years, an inquest heard. A pal found him dead last August on the living room floor of the house they shared.
Lee had complained of a headache the day before. But coroner Michael Howells said he was free from disease.
The cause of Lee's death was listed as ''cannabis toxicity'' after a post mortem revealed high levels in his blood. The inquest recorded a verdict of death by misadventure because of his illegal drug use.
Experts warned after the case in Pembroke, Wales that cannabis can be much more powerful than users think.
Dr Philip Guy, an addictions expert at Hull University, said yesterday: ''Cannabis is not the nice hippy drug it used to be. It is a lot stronger nowadays.''
Dr Guy added that people who ate the drug rather than smoked it were more at risk.
''If you eat a large amount of cannabis it can be deadly, '' he said. ''I would not be surprised if in this case the deceased had ingested a fatal amount.''
[zombienote: Dr. Guy is speculating. IF you eat RAW cannabis, you are going to get very ill: it expands from the cellulose and can kill people becasue of internal injuries. The same happens with raw potatos. Judge Francis Young of the DEA pointed this out in 1988. Old News. Where is the outrage over raw potatos?]
Cannabis has been linked to suicides and fatal accidents. But Lee's case is the first where it has been listed as a direct cause of death.
The Government has always insisted that cannabis is harmful and should not be used.
[zombienote: So now they have commandeered a dead man and will wheel him around as proof of their reefer mad claim.]
But Home Secretary David Blunkett says he is downgrading it to class C to help police focus on more dangerous drugs like heroin and crack cocaine.
Blunkett said this week: ''I want to get people off trying cannabis, but I want the education message to be clear: Don't pretend cannabis and crack are the same. They are not.''
[zombienote: Well, 1 cheer for Blunkett - he got that right. Here in the US we have the ultra-highly paid John Walters trying to make people think they ARE the same.
My Verdict: Just because some a small group of reefer mad nuts in England "rule" that cannabis killed this man, it doesn't mean they know what they are talking about. People would have known long before now if cannabis really was deadly - we'd have dead Rastas and college students everywhere. Liars can sign death certificates, especially if they work for a government.]
Note: .. A new LOW in Reefer Madness!"
Sparky- man this bunch of bullshit ya know he ate some like a dick, cuz people on here even admit to eating a whole nug to see what happens so im sure he flipped his lid and ate some

at first i thought it meant he had smoked 23,000 joints in one sitting, and his heart had gone so fast he had had a heart attack. that's the only way it would make more sense.
don't be free: it's your duty as a citizen / don't smoke weed, must pay to continue living / if we all buy in maybe it'll be a reality / all pretend, and then all blind can control the city.

Reap your life like you want to recognise all you have come to!
When I stamp it on your forehead
So you will never forget that you're a reject,
And you're no one little impotent one!

The guy can't have died from a cannabis overdose, to reach the level of toxicity in order to overdose you need to eat 675g of hash in one sitting.
There is no way that the cumulative effect of eleven years smoking could have caused an overdose, yeah it might give you cancer and give some people paranoia and psycotic episodes.
Is it handy how this man "died" just as cannabis was downgraded in the UK from class B to C accompanied by newspaper adverts and posters telling you "YOU WILL STILL GET ARRESTED".
It's propoganda plain and simple the guy may have died indirectly from smoking weed but again I think highly unlikely he died from those 11,000 (its actually more like 26,000, if he smoked 6 a day for eleven years)
I've been smoking nine joints a day for the last 6 years at least that menas for me to reach the same level of toxicity of that guy I have roughly 16 months left to live. And that doesn't include the fact I was smoking for 4 years smoking a couple of joints a day.
I'll let you guys know if I am still here then.

if he smoked that much for that many years he would have a huge tolerance and it would be hard to get any effect from bud, much less overdose. whoever made that up is a retard.
and what a weird figure, to say the number of total joints that he might have smoked. haha.
