It doesn't work like that at all. There are plenty of physical reasons for feeling that way, it doesn't always just go away like everyone says it does. Depression is a mental thing but it doesn't necessarily have to be that, there are lots of things that can happen like chemical imbalances in your brain which cause it etc.

Yeah, maybe you should see a doctor about getting some anti-depressants, to help you through the hard times. That is, if you have a doctor yet. If not man, just keep on truckin, it gets better with time.

I been there before, and I can say that after the rain comes a rainbow, you know? It gets better with time and if not maybe you should see a doctor. Chemicals can do some tricky shit, and they're there to keep them from fuckin you up too bad. Just talk to someone you trust, you'll feel better.

I was thinking about killing myself a while ago. Actually I still do. I don't want to go to ALC or court. It's gunna suck but I know it'll get better at some point, and if not...extacy
