white conquest

as i roamed from place to place,
i learned how my ancestors had affected each race.

the old official government policy was conquest,
discovering new countries then causing unrest;
by killing all the natives or using them as slaves,
even if they had lived on their land since men left the caves.

the travelling armies marauding the worlds seas,
not interesting in simply seeking a new foreign cheese,
intent instead on genocide and gaining territory,
in almost every country i visited, whites had left a barbaric story.

the english too over so much land,
but took it mainly by force, gun or sword in hand.
