if you grew some seeds that came with a batch of normal weed, cotton wool first, then into soil and a pot and gave them water, darkness and light each day would they grow into something smokable????

You could..but don't expect to get very much and don't get your hopes up TOO high. But don't water everyday..you'll drown them. Every 2 or 3 days you should do that. And give them the most possible light...no darkness at first is best and the light cycle must remain consistant.
